Chief Keef Disses New School Rappers & Promises Major Comeback

Chief Keef is currently in the midst of a nationwide tour with the rest of Glo Gang, and even though he’s only been touring for a week, he is already making headlines. At his concert last night, he randomly launched into a Kanye-esque rant about the state of the rap game and his significance in it. During the rant, he calls out rappers like Famous Dex and Lil Uzi Vert who he says have blatantly bitten his style and taken his lane. At one point, he insinuates that they are homosexuals, and he even goes so far as to insult the ridiculous hair styles that have become the trademark of many new school emcees.

In the past, Keef has mentioned that his fall from mainstream popularity was his own choice. During the promotional run for his Bang 3 album last August, he mentioned that he had songs on his computer that had the potential to be radio hits but he had no desire to release them. At the end of his rant, he announces that he will be making a major comeback in 2017, possibly reaching the same heights he did at the end of 2012 with Finally Rich. We’ve all learned not to trust Keef’s word at this point, but it will be interesting to see how this plays out. Peep a video of the rant below.
