17 year old Texas rapper Tay K is to be tried as an adult for his involvement in the July 26, 2016 robbery and murder of Ethan Walker.
Tay K, real name Taymor Travon McIntyre, appeared in front of a judge Thursday, and was ordered to be held in adult jail until he is certified as an adult in the Walker case, said Sam Jordan, spokeswoman for the Tarrant County district attorney’s office. McIntyre’s certification hearing is expected in about two weeks.
McIntyre was captured by authorities June 30, after being on the run for several months. Back in March, McIntyre removed his ankle monitor and fled to San Antonio with another suspect. U.S. Marshals described him as a “violent fugitive”.
Tay K made headlines last month after releasing “The Race” – a music video he recorded while on the run. In it, he posed next to his wanted poster and brandished a firearm.
